No. Ctry. Cheviot Molly

Picture
Molly (born 2008) had a single ewe lamb last year (Helena) and a single ram lamb (Tank) this year.  She is a good mother with a dense, bouncy fleece.  She has given us very growthy lambs.

***Fall Special*** If you would like her bred, she could be exposed to our Finnsheep ram in October.

$80                    Shetland ewe Glory

Picture
This 2009 ewe is a petite, quiet sheep, too small for breeding.  She would make a lovely fiber pet with her soft gray fleece.  This photo was taken a few weeks after she was sheared.  She should not be bred.

3/4 BFL ewe lambs

Picture
We have a three 3/4 BFL ewe lambs available.  We have two white and one black ewe lamb remaining.  These girls have the look of a Bluefaced Leicester with lovely fiber.  These girls are all twin lambs.

The Fall Special does not apply to lambs.

$125-140 Mulesheep ewe and whether lambs

Picture
We will have several Bluefaced Leicester cross Mulesheep lambs available for a fiber flock or the freezer.  These sheep will weigh between 100-130 lbs. when full grown.  Mulesheep are a recognized breed of sheep, although they are relatively new in the U.S.  Mulesheep are the offspring of a Hill Breed (Shetland, Cheviot) dam crossed with Bluefaced Leicester sire.  The resulting Mulesheep ewes have the hardiness and excellent mothering abilities of the Hill Breed sheep along with the milkiness and size of the Bluefaced Leicester.  Those ewes can then be put to a larger sire such as a Suffolk or Texel for a lamb that easily grows to butcher size in 5 - 6 months.  The bonus with Mulesheep is their lovely fiber!  If you like Shetland and/or you love BFL, the Mulesheep gives the spinner the best of both worlds.
